AIESEC in university of Sri Jayawardenepura is one of the most fastest growing AIESEC local committee in AIESEC Sri lanka, Started in 1995 AIESEC in university of Sri Jayawardenepura has produced number of great leaders to corporate world, not only in Sri lanka But also for international arena.
Currently AIESEC in jayawardenapura is running several projects covering many areas of the Sri lankan economy and social issues. "Emerging leaders" is one of our success stories, This projects covers education sector of Sri Lanka. Primary aim of this project is to develop English and IT education of Sri lankan schools. Apart from this We run projects on corporate sector in Sri lanka. E.g. AIESEC in Jayawardenapura has a strategic partnership in with HEWL Sri lanka to promote tourism in Sri lanka.
We also have a Outgoing exchange project which is aim to give opportunity to local graduates to have a global working experience. This is called AIESEC Global internship programme. more than 5000 graduates as well as undergraduates take part in this programme to uplift and develop their skills up to international standards, without a doubt a person who has taken part in this programme has a clear advantage when seeking job opportunities.
Our members who running these projects gather a vast experience in their field of study, specially Human resource management, marketing, finance etc. So it is a great opportunity an undergraduate as he can gain practical experience while having theoretical knowledge in lectures.
